Over 1,100 show-cause notices have been sent by DTCP to DLF Phase 3 property owners thus far, and the notices are being taped to nearby homes.
About 7,500 homes in DLF phases 1 through 5 have been found to have building code violations by the enforcement branch of the Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP), including unlawful construction, unapproved commercial activity, and structural alterations, officials announced on Monday.
The Punjab and Haryana high court, which is considering a petition submitted by a resident's welfare association (RWA) asking for action against such violations, ordered the survey to be conducted over the course of the last month.
A Senior Representative of the DTCP stated, “The enforcement team discovered in about 7,500 houses infractions ranging from minor to major. Numerous property owners run businesses, including boutiques, restaurants, retail stores, offices, and lodging facilities. After obtaining occupation certificates, structural alterations in the properties were also observed. All of the violators will receive notices.”
