The buying and selling of real estate in the two communities in Sectors 103 and 104 that Mahira Homes Group developed is prohibited by the Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP).
After the group neglected to deposit the external and internal development charges (EDC/IDC), it came under investigation. Prior to this, on August 11, 2023, the developer received a show-cause notice that gave them a chance to pay the outstanding balance and settle any disagreements regarding the licensing documents but the builder disregarded the directives.
This happened as a result of complaints made by landowners who said the builder had used falsified paperwork to get licenses. Housing licenses were obtained by Mahira Group in 2019 and by Czar Buildwell in 2021, respectively.
In an effort to move Mahira Homes projects forward, H-Rera had previously hired specialists from the National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) to perform technical and practical evaluations.
To assess the state of the site and the progress of construction, NBCC specialists performed site inspections. Future measures would be decided by the NBCC's comprehensive report, according to chairman Arun Kumar H-Rera (Gurgaon).
Since these projects have stalled and left them feeling uncertain about their investments, over 5,000 homebuyers have been protesting against the developer.
Amidst the increasing strain between developers and regulatory bodies, impacted inhabitants anticipate prompt settlements and more stringent adherence to housing regulations.
This move demonstrates the DTCP's determination to hold developers responsible for breaking housing laws. According to experts, these kinds of steps are essential for protecting the interests of homebuyers and putting a stop to dishonest behavior in the real estate industry.
