DDA Announces Launch of Special Housing Scheme Offering over 30,000 Flats

Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has announced a Housing scheme just when the festival of lights Diwali is around the corner. According to the reports,  over 30,000 apartments of different categories including penthouses and SHIG (super high-income group) flats, besides more affordable options, located in areas like Dwarka, Narela, Vasant Kunj, among others, are likely to be put up for sale. After the launch, the flats will be sold on a first come first serve basis.

The DDA is offering around 32,000 flats for different sections of population. The housing scheme will have apartments for all categories, from premium apartments for SHIG, HIG to affordable apartments for Low Income Groups (LIG) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) groups. However, the price will vary at the time of launch. 

Reports are saying that, nearly, 14 luxury penthouses are likely to be offered in Dwarka (sector 19B), along with around 170 luxury apartments in the SHIG category, in Narela, over 5,000 EWS flats are likely to be available. Around 2,000 MIG flats and 1,600 HIG apartments will also be available. In Lok Nayak Puram, nearly 600 MIG flats and 200 EWS flats will be available. In Dwarka, sector 19B more than 700 EWS flats and 900 MIG flats are being offered under this scheme. More number of flats is under construction in the Narela and Rohini areas.

The price of the SHIG flats are likely to start from Rs. 3 crore, on the other hand, HIG apartments may be priced at about Rs. 2.50 crore, the prices of MIG flats are likely to range between Rs. 1-1.3 crore. EWS flats are likely to be sold between Rs. 11 to 14 lakh, while LIG flats may be priced between Rs. 15 to 30 lakh.
