Cricketer Shreyas Iyer & his Mom buy plush apartment in Mumbai at Rs.2.90 crore

Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer and  his mother Rohini Iyer has just acquired a plush apartment for Rs.2.90 crore in Mumbai's Worli area. The required documents for the deal were registered by Zapkey.

According to the document, the apartment is located on the second floor of Triveni Industrial CHSL in the Adarsh Nagar area of Worli. The apartment is covering an area of 525 sq ft and it was purchased at Rs.55,238 per sq ft.

The transaction of the whole deal was registered with a stamp duty of Rs.17.40 lakh, which was followed by registration charges of Rs.30,000. 

Previously Shreyas has purchased a home in Lodha World Towers, which is one of the tallest buildings of Mumbai.

During September 2020,Shreyas has acquired a 2380 sq ft apartment on the 48th floor of The World Towers with Macrotech Developers in Mumbai. The documents accessed by  Zapkey revealed that, the apartment was purchased at a rate of Rs.49,817 per sq ft.

The real estate market of Worli has been witnessing a vigorous growth with few luxury big ticket property deals ranges between Rs.1 lakh to Rs.1.50 lakh per sq ft. As the area is located in the heart of Mumbai, so it has a close proximity to several commercial business districts.

Worli is home to several listed real estate companies, including Oberoi Realty and Macrotech Developers (Lodha). On May 6, Oberoi Realty announced plans to redevelop seven aging buildings with a total of 504 flats in the Adarsh Nagar area of Worli. Under the agreement, the company received 6.24 lakh sq ft of RERA carpet area to be sold in the open market.
