Bollywood Star Akshay Kumar sells his Apartment for Rs. 4.25 crore in Mumbai

Akshay Kumar has sold his apartment in Borivali East, Mumbai, for Rs. 4.25 crore, according to property registration documents from SquareYards.

The apartment is located in Sky City, a residential project by Oberoi Realty, offering 3 BHK apartments, studios, and duplexes. The sale was registered on January 21, 2025.

Square Yards' analysis of the IGR property registration documents revealed that Kumar had purchased the apartment for Rs. 2.38 crore in November 2017, and its value has appreciated by 78%, selling for Rs. 4.25 crore.

Interestingly, other Bollywood figures such as Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan are also listed as owners of multiple properties in Oberoi Sky City, according to IGR records. The apartment, which has a carpet area of 1,073 sq. ft. (99.71 sq. m), also includes two parking spaces. The transaction involved a stamp duty payment of Rs. 25.5 lakh and registration fees of Rs. 30,000.

In 2022, Akshay Kumar also sold a property in Andheri West, Mumbai, to Music Director Daboo Malik for Rs. 6 crores, according to a media report.

Data from Square Yards reveals that Oberoi Sky City saw significant market activity in 2024, with 216 sale registrations totaling Rs. 848 crore. The average resale price of properties in the project is currently Rs. 39,522 per sq. ft.

Akshay Kumar, known as the "Khiladi of Bollywood," is one of the most successful and versatile actors in Indian cinema, with a career spanning over three decades and more than 100 films.
