APJ Abdul Kalam-lived Apartment in Bengaluru drowns! Rescue Boats sent

Former President APJ Abdul Kalam's apartment complex in Bengaluru's Yelahanka neighborhood was one of the worst hit by Monday night's rain, which caused numerous northern areas of the city to come to a complete halt. The housing society is experiencing significant flooding for the second time in less than a week.

On Tuesday morning, residents of the Kendriya Vihar apartments in Yelahanka, on Bellary Road, and en route to the Bengaluru airport, discovered waist-deep water in their compound.

Social media videos showed residents' automobiles and two-wheelers engulfed in filthy water that had entered the apartment building.

To evacuate the occupants, rescue boats had to be sent out.

Several areas of Bengaluru saw serious waterlogging as a result of Monday night's heavy rainfall. At Kempegowda International Airport, multiple aircraft interruptions were recorded. According to an official, four planes were rerouted to Chennai and more than 20 flights had delays. According to officials, a Thai Lion Air flight headed from Thailand was also rerouted to Chennai.

Monday night, there was a lot of rain in Yelahanka and other parts of north Bengaluru. Videos and images of flooded underpasses and roadways went viral on social media.

Due to waterlogging, Belanduru Traffic Police reported that traffic was moving slowly on the outer ring road near Ecospace intersection, heading from Devarabesanahalli to Bellandur junction.

The meteorological office issued an orange signal for heavy rain on Monday, which led to the closure of schools and anganwadis.
