Anu Malik sells 2 Luxury Flats in Santacruz for Rs. 14. 49 crore

Renowned Bollywood music composer and singer Anu Malik and his wife, Anju Malik, have sold two apartments in Mumbai's upscale Santacruz West neighborhood for Rs. 14.49 crore.  The transaction, revealed through property registration documents accessed by SquareYards, involves two units located on the same floor of the Khushi Belmondo building, a ready-to-move-in residential project developed by Khushi World Developers. 

The combined built-up area of the apartments is 2,515 sq ft, and the sale includes two designated parking spaces.  The registration, finalized on February 5th, involved a stamp duty payment of Rs. 86.91 lakh and a registration fee of Rs. 30,000

The buyer in this transaction is Harmony Trust.  Attempts to reach both the Maliks and Harmony Trust for comment were unsuccessful.

Santacruz West enjoys a strategic location within Mumbai's western suburbs, boasting excellent connectivity via major roads and a railway station near the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.  Its proximity to the Bandra Kurla Complex, a prominent commercial hub in Mumbai, further adds to its appeal as a desirable residential area. 

Anu Malik, a highly acclaimed figure in the Indian music industry, has received numerous awards for his compositions and singing in popular films such as Refugee, Baazigar, and Main Hoon Na.

This sale positions Anu Malik as the fifth Bollywood celebrity to divest residential property in Mumbai in 2025.  Over the past month, other prominent Bollywood personalities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, and Subhash Ghai, have collectively sold properties worth over Rs. 100 crore, as indicated by property registration records.  This flurry of real estate activity among Bollywood celebrities underscores the dynamic nature of Mumbai's property market.
