Actor turned Politcian Kanagan Ranaut sells Pali Hill Bungalow for Rs.32 crore

Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has recently sold out her Bungalow located in the Pali Hill area of Mumbai. According to the report of property registration documents accessed by Zapkey, the deal was locked at Rs.32 crore.

The bungalow covers a built-up area of 3,075 sq ft, with an additional 565 sq ft for parking, according to the documents. The transaction, registered on September 5, 2024, involved a stamp duty payment of Rs.1.92 crore and a registration fee of Rs.30,000. According to the documents,the buyer is Shweta Bathija, a partner at Kamalini Holdings, based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. 

Kanagana is a BJP candidate of Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, who has assets worth Rs.91 crore, including Rs.28.7 crore in movable assets and Rs.62.9 crore in immovable assets.

Mumbai’s Pali hill area is has a long and deep connection with Bollywood, as numerous Bollywood stars has invested and still they are keenly investing in properties located in this area. According to local brokers, the per sq ft rate of several luxury housing projects ranges from Rs.1 lakh per sq ft and above.

Pali Hill area is home for famous Bollywood stars such as Sunil and Nargis Dutt, the late Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Gulzar, Imran Khan, Aamir Khan, Sanjay Dutt, among others.

Once in a media interview which was published in 2023,one of the Bollywood star has expressed that, she was bound to get compensation for the demolition at her lavish Mumbai home, but the process never moved ahead. She also added that, she now doesn't want any compensation because it's taxpayers' money.

Kanagana was recently in news due to her newly purchased commercial office space in Mumbai's Andheri area for Rs.1.56 crore.

The property is spanning across an area of 407 sq ft is located on the 19th floor of a building named Arch One. The documents depicted that, the property was purchased  at a per sq ft rate of Rs.38,391 sq ft on carpet.
